Drug Seizure Edenderry, Co. Offaly 19/06/15

As part of on-going intelligence-led operations targeting Organised Crime and the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Kildare and Offaly area, An Garda Síochána have seized drugs and arrested a woman.

At approximately 6pm yesterday evening detective Gardai from the Kildare Division assisted by the Tullamore Detective Unit carried out a planned search of an apartment at Granary Court, Edenderry, Co. Offaly. During the search cannabis, ecstasy and cocaine with an estimated combined street value of up to €50,000 (pending analysis) was seized. Drug paraphernalia was also seized.
A woman in her 40’s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Kildare Garda Station.
