Arrest – Discovery of a body at Rathcoole, Co. Dublin on the 23/5/15

Gardaí investigating the murder of Andrew Guerrine have this afternoon (Tuesday June 2nd 2015) arrested a 37 year old man in the Tallaght area in connection with this investigation.

He is currently detained at Clondalkin Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984.
 
Investigations are continuing.

The body a male discovered at Steelstown Lane near Rathcoole, Co. Dublin, has been identified as 37-year-old Andrew Guerrine with an address in Crumlin, Dublin.


Preliminary results from the post-mortem examination have been furnished to investigating Gardaí, details of which are not being released for operational reasons. Following the post-mortem Gardaí can confirm that Andrew Guerrine died in violent circumstances and a murder investigation has commenced. 
 

Investigating Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses to contact the Incident Room at Clondalkin Garda Station. They are particularly appealing to anyone who may have travelled on Steelstown lane in the early hours of Saturday morning (23/5/2015) to contact them.
