Armed robbery at Clontarf, Dublin on the 11/6/15

Gardaí have arrested two males following an armed robbery in Clontarf, Dublin 3, on the 11th June 2015.

At approximately 7.45am two males armed with a firearm entered at shop on Stiles Road, Clontarf. They threatened a female staff member before leaving the scene on foot with an amount of cash. The culprits damaged the front door of the shop during the incident. No shots were fired.

During a follow up operation involving Gardaí from Clontarf and Raheny Garda Stations, two males aged in their 20s were arrested in a nearby building a short time later.  A firearm (subject to ballistic examination) and cash were recovered.

Both males are currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Clontarf Garda Station.
