Update - Man arrested and due to appear before a special sitting of the Special Criminal Court on the 29/7/15

As part of an ongoing operation into dissident republican activity in the Dublin area Gardaí from the Special Detective Unit arrested three men in their 20’s yesterday (29/7/15) in Dublin and Laois.

One man appeared before a special sitting of the Special Criminal Court last evening. Another man was released without charge pending a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions. A third man remains in custody under the provisions of Section 30 – Offences Against the State Act 1939 at Irishtown Garda Station.

In a further operation a fourth man in his 20’s was arrested in the Dublin area this morning (30/7/15) and is currently detained at Irishtown Garda Station under Section 30 –Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Investigations are continuing.

Man arrested and due to appear before a special sitting of the Special Criminal Court, Criminal Courts of Justice, Dublin this evening, the 29th July 2015.

As part of an ongoing operation into dissident republican activity in the Dublin area, Gardaí attached to the Special Detective Unit arrested a man, 24 years, in Dublin this morning, Wednesday 29th July 2015. The man was detained at Irishtown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.

The man will appear before a special sitting of the Special Criminal Court, Criminal Courts of Justice, Dublin this evening at 10pm where he will be charged.
