Update - Investigation into alleged animal cruelty and neglect in Co. Carlow

Three people arrested today in connection with alleged animal cruelty (Press Release below) have been released without charge.

A file will now be prepared for the information of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí investigating alleged animal cruelty and neglect at a farm in Co. Carlow have arrested a male and two females during an operation this morning (27/7/2015).

All three, who are aged in their 40's, are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Carlow Garda Station.

The investigation commenced in April of this year when 351 dogs and 11 horses were removed from a farm in Co. Carlow  during an 11 day joint operation involving An Garda Síochána, Carlow County Council and the ISPCA.
