Gardai in Ballinasloe are investigating a serious road traffic collision which occurred in Ballinasloe on the 7th August 2015.
The collision occurred at approximately 9pm on the Ballinasloe to Athlone Rd at Kilgarve, Creagh, Ballinasloe.
Two cars collided and the male driver (61 years) of one of the cars was seriously injured and taken to Portiuncla Hospital in Ballinasloe. The male driver(21 years) of the second car was uninjured in the collision.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.
