Man charged - Man arrested and firearm seized in connection with shooting incident in Kells, Meath on the 8/8/15

Gardaí have charged a man, aged in his late 40’s, in connection with an incident where a firearm was discharged at a house in the Archdeaconery area of Kells, Co Meath on Saturday afternoon, 8th August 2015.

No one was injured in the incident. 

The man is due to appear before Trim District Court tomorrow morning, Tuesday 11th August 2015 at 11am.

The man was arrested on Sunday 9th August 2015 and was detained at Kells Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended. He remains in Garda custody.

In a follow up search Gardaí recovered a firearm in the Carrick Street area of Kells.

Gardaí this afternoon, Sunday 9th August 2015 arrested a man, aged in his late 40’s, in connection with an incident where a firearm was discharged at a house in the Archdeaconery area of Kells, County Meath yesterday afternoon, Saturday 8th August 2015.


The man was arrested shortly before 5pm and is currently detained at Kells Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.

 
Gardaí recovered a firearm in a follow up search in the Carrick Street area, Kells.
