Gardaí are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred close to Brannigan's Cross on the Collon to Tinure Road, Collon, Co Louth this morning, Tuesday 11th August 2015 at approximately 1am.
A man, 32 years, sole occupant suffered serious injuries when the vehicle he was driving left the road and struck a ditch. He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda where he was pronounced dead.
The scene has been preserved and Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will carry out an investigation of the area. Diversions are in place.
