Drugs seizure - Joint Revenue / Garda operation at Dublin Port on the 20/8/15

On the 20th August, 2015, as part of an intelligence led joint operation between Revenue’s Customs Service and the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau of An Garda Siochana, approximately 11.2 kilos of cocaine with an estimated value of €784,000, pending analysis was seized, following the search of a freight vehicle at Dublin Port.

During the course of this joint operation one man, aged 37 years, was arrested and is currently detained at Store Street  Garda Station, under Section 2 of the Criminal  Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
