Drug seizure and arrest at Marino, Dublin on the 12/8/15

As part of on-going intelligence-led operations targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Dublin area, An Garda Síochána have seized cannabis plants and arrested a male.

Gardai from Clontarf conducted a planned search of a house in Marino at approximately 12.30pm today. During the course of the search cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €44,000 (pending analysis) were seized along with a small quantity of cannabis herb. A male in his early 30’s was arrest at the scene and detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Clontarf Garda Station. The male was released without charge this evening and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
