Update - Discovery of body in Tullow, Co Carlow on the 16/9/14

Gardai in Tullow investigating the death of a man in Tullow, Co Carlow on the 16th September 2014 are appealing for any residents of or visitors to Graigowen, Gortnahowen or Slaney View Drive, housing estates in Tullow Co. Carlow

And who may have heard or seen anything  between 6pm, 15th September, 2014 and 9am on 16th September, 2014 to contact Tullow Garda Station on 059-9181160, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.

 
The post mortem is due to begin this evening(16th Sept) at the Mortuary in Waterford hospital and will be carried out by Professor Marie Cassidy of the State Pathologist Office. An incident room has been established at Carlow Garda station and a further Crime conference is due to start at 7pm this evening in Carlow Garda station. The Technical Bureau from Garda Headquarters are still at scene.

Two men have been arrested this afternoon (16/9/14) in connection with this investigation.

They are both detained at Carlow Garda Station under the Provisions of Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Gardaí in Tullow are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a male (early 30’s) in a house at Graigeowen, Tullow , Co Carlow shortly after 9am this morning (16/9/14).

Another male  was found at the house with serious injuries, he has been removed to St. Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny.
 

The scene is preserved pending a Garda technical examination
