Attempted robbery in Phibsboro, Dublin 7 on the 4/9/14

Gardai in Mountjoy arrested a male (47 years) following an attempted robbery at a fast food restaurant in Phibsboro on the 4th September 2014.

At approximately 1.55pm on the 4th September 2014 a male entered a fast food restaurant in Phibsboro, he was in possession of a knife. He threatened staff and demanded money. He left the scene empty handed and was arrested a short distance away. He was brought to Mountjoy Garda station where he was detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended. He was later charged in connection with the incident and will appear before Court No 2, Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate Street at 10.30am on the 5th September 2014.

No one was injured in the incident.
