Update - Fire at house Ardmore Park, Ballybeg, Waterford ob the 16/10/14

A 17-year-old male was arrested yesterday (19/10/2014) by Gardaí investigating a house fire at Ardmore Park, Ballybeg, Waterford on Thursday 16th October 2014.

He is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Waterford Garda Station.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to contact Waterford Garda Station on 051 305300, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.

This is the second arrest by Gardaí investigating the incident. A 23-year-old male is currently before the courts charged in connection with the investigation.

Gardaí are investigating a fire at a house at Ardmore Park, Ballybeg, Waterford which occurred on Thursday 16th October 2014 shortly after 9pm.


There were a number of occupants in the house at the time of the incident. Three children were taken from the house and removed to Waterford University  Hospital with non life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
 

The scene was preserved and technically examined.
 

A 23 year old man was arrested last night, Thursday 16th October 2014, in connection with this investigation. He remains in Garda custody, detained at Waterford Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
