Update - Drug seizure and arrests at Clondalkin, Dublin 22 on the 21/10/14

Gardai investigating the discovery of cocaine at a house in St. Marks Avenue last night have charged a male in his 50s’ in relation to the seizure.

He has been bailed to appear before Blanchardstown Court at a future date.
 

The female and male in their 20’s have been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecution.

As part of on-going intelligence-led operations targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Ronanstown area, An Garda Síochána have seized drugs and made three arrests.

Gardai from Ronanstown carried out a planned search of a house in St Marks Avenue, Clondalkin last night at approximately 9pm. Cocaine (pending analysis) with an estimated street value of up to €270,000 was discovered during the search. A 26 year old male, a 53 year old male and a 25 year old female were arrested at the scene.
 

They are currently detained at Ronanstown (53 year old male) and Lucan Garda Stations (26 and 25 year old) under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
 

These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks. Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.
