Serious road traffic collision at Oldcastle, Meath on the 5/10/14

Gardai in Kells are investigating a serious single vehicle road traffic collision at Fennor Upper, Oldcastle, Co. Meath on the 5th October 2014.

The collision occurred at approximately 4am on the Oldcastle to Virginia Road (approx 8km from Virginia). A car collided with a wall and the two male occupants (22 and 24 years) were seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Cavan General Hospital, where their injuries are described as serious.

The road is closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision Examination and diversions are in place.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on the road between 3.30am and 4.15am on the 5th October to contact them in Kells on 046 9280820, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
