Renewed witness appeal - Fatal road traffic collision on Davitt Road, Dublin 12 on the 2/10/14

Gardaí are renewing their appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on Davitt Road, Drimmagh, Dublin 12 which occurred on Thursday 2nd October 2014 at approximately 4pm.

A 38-year-old man was fatally injured when his motorcycle collided with a car on Davitt Road at the junction with Kilworth Road, Drimmagh. The injured man was taken to St. James Hospital but was later pronounced dead. The driver of the car was uninjured.  

The road was technically examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.  

Investigating Gardaí are renewing their appeal for witnesses or anyone with information, particularly those who may have been commuting through the area at that time, to contact them at Sundrive Road Garda Station on 01 666 6600, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on Davitt Road, Drimmagh, Dublin 12 this afternoon (2/10/14).

At approximately 4pm today a 38-year-old male was fatally injured when his motorcycle collided with a car on Davitt Road, Drimmagh.  The injured man was taken to St. James Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

The road was closed to facilitate a Garda forensic collision investigation and has since reopened.
