Gardai in Midleton are investigating fatal road traffic collision at Corkbeg, Whitegate, Cork on the 3rd October 2014.
The collision involving two cars occurred at approximately 6.35pm on the Refinery Rd, Whitegate. The male driver(19yrs) of one car was pronounced dead at the scene and has been removed to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital. The male driver(21yrs) of the second car received non life threatening injuries and was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment. There were no passengers in either car.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision Examination.
