Fatal road traffic collision at Limerick Junction on the 16/10/14

Gardai in Tipperary Town are investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the Tipperary to Limerick Road, the N24 approx 4 miles outside Tipperary Town on the 16th October 2014

The collision occurred at approximately 7am between two cars, the drivers (male in his 80's & and a female in her 40's) of both cars were seriously injured and pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers in either car. Their bodies have been removed to South Tipperary Hospital in Clonmel.The road has been closed for a Forensic collision examination.
 

Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on the road between 6.40am and 7.20am on the 16th October to contact them in Tipperary Town on 062 80670, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
