Fatal Road Traffic Collision at Kilcrohane, Co Cork on the 23/10/14

Gardaí in Bantry are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred in Kilcrohane, Co Cork at approximately 8.05pm last night (23/10/14).

An 82 year old male pedestrian was struck by a car at the above location. He was taken to Cork University Hospital and pronounced dead a shortly before midnight.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a Garda forensic examination and local diversions are in place.
