Drugs seizure Aungier Street Dublin 25th October 2014

As part of an on-going operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in Dublin South Inner City An Garda Síochána have seized drugs and made one arrest.

Gardaí from the Kevin Street carried out a planned search of a premises at Grafton Hall, Aungier Street, Dublin 2, last night, Saturday 25th October 2014 at approximately 11.45pm. A grow house was discovered and 101 cannabis plants with an estimated value of €80,000, pending analysis, were seized.
 
One man, 29 years, were arrested at scene and he is currently detained Kevin Street Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.
