Court Appearance - Criminal damage to Orange Order Hall, Convoy, Donegal on the 3/10/14

Two men have appeared in Letterkenny Court charged in relations to criminal damage incidents in Co Donegal.

A 32 year old man was charged in relation to damage to an Orange Hall and a church and he has been remanded in custody to appear at Harristown District Court on Friday 10th October.

The second man, aged 30, arrested as part of the same investigation was charged with an unrelated criminal damage incident and was remanded in custody to appear at Letterkenny District Court on Monday13th October.

Gardaí have charged two men, 30 and 32 years, in connection with an incident where criminal damage was caused to an Orange Order Hall and a Presbyterian Church at Convoy, Co. Donegal on 3rd October 2014.

The men are due to appear before Letterkenny District Court this morning Wednesday 8th October 2014 at 10.30am.

 
The men were arrested on Monday evening, 6th October 2014 and detained at Letterkenny Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984
 

The incident occurred in the early hours of 3rd October 2014. A fire was discovered at the Orange Order Hall at approximately 4am and was extensively damaged. Criminal damage was also caused to the Presbyterian church.
