Fatal traffic collision Co. Roscommon 16th November 2014

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle fatal traffic collision in Co. Roscommon. At approximately 8:00pm a 19-year-old male was fatally injured when the car he was a passenger in struck a wall on the R368 near Four Mile House. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed to mortuary at Roscommon Hospital.

Three other males (understood to be in their 20s) who were also travelling in the car at the time were taken from the scene by ambulance to Hospitals in Galway, Sligo and Mullingar. (The extent of their injuries is not yet known.) The road is closed to traffic and Garda forensic collision investigators are at the scene. Local diversions are in place.
