Gardaí at Wicklow town are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Milltown Lane, Ashford, Co Wicklow at approximately 11.50pm last night (Sunday November 9th 2014).
A 22 year old male driver of a car was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a ditch at the above location. A 26 year old male passenger (only other occupant) received minor injuries and was removed to St. Columcille’s Hospital in Loughlinstown.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a Garda forensic examination, local diversions are in place.
