Gardaí have arrested three men following an alleged abduction of a man in his 20s in Athy Co. Kildare this afternoon 3rd November 2014.
The incident happened at St Johns Lane, Athy shortly after 12 noon. The man was assaulted by three men and forced into a blue Hyundai Santa Fe. This car then went in the direction of Dublin.
Gardaí were notified and the car was intercepted and stopped on the M9 motorway close to Ballytore. Three men in there 20s were arrested and are detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Newbridge, Kildare and Naas Garda Stations. The victim was taken to Naas General suffering from minor injuries.
