'Operation Fiacla' jewellery & cash recovered three arrested County Dublin 31st October 2014

Gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit have arrested three males and recovered jewellery and cash following an operation in the Drogheda area, County Louth, on Friday 31st October 2014.

The discovery was made when Gardaí stopped and searched a car as part of ‘Operation Fiacla’ near Balrothery, County Dublin, yesterday evening, Friday 31st October 2014. An assortment of jewellery and a quantity of cash were recovered. Gardaí arrested three males, aged 42, 35 & a juvenile, at the scene.
 
The two men were taken to Balbriggan and Drogheda Garda Stations where they are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. The juvenile was released from Garda custody without charge.
 
Investigations are ongoing.
