Update - Body Discovered in Athlone, Westmeath on the 20/6/14

The male in his 20’s who was detained at Athlone Garda Station in relation to the discovery of the body of Patryck Krupa in Athlone on the 20th of June has been released without charge late last night.

A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

A male in his 30’s is scheduled to appear before a special sitting of Athlone District Court at 5pm today charged in connection with the discovery of the body of Patryck Krupa in Athlone on the 20th of June.  

A 20 year old male remains in custody in Athlone Garda Station.

A fourth male has been arrested by Gardaí investigating the discovery of a body of a male in Athlone on the 20th of June 2014. The male, who is aged in his 20s, is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Athlone Garda Station.  

Of the three previous arrests - a male aged in his 30s remains in Garda custody in Athlone Garda Station while two males detained in Mullingar were released without charge overnight. Files will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
