Two charged assault Ranelagh Dublin 5th July 2014

Gardaí at Rathmines have charged two people, a male, 27 years and a female, 22 years, in connection with the investigation into an assault which occurred at Charlston Road/Oakley Road junction, Ranelagh, Dublin, on Saturday 5th July 2014 at approximately 5.30am where a 32 year old male suffered injuries. They both remain in Garda custody and are due to appear before Court 3 Criminal Courts of Justice (CCJ) on Monday 7th July at 10.30am.

Gardaí arrested the male and female a short distance from the scene. And they were detained at Rathmines and Terenure Garda Stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

The injured male who was taken to Saint Vincent’s Hospital has since been released.
