Gardai in Watercourse Road are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Shandon Street at approximately 5.40pm yesterday evening.
A male cyclist in his late 40’s was seriously injured when he collided with a bollard. He was brought to Cork University Hospital and was pronounced dead late last night.
The road was closed for a time to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. This has been completed and the road has reopened.
