Gardai in Ballyshannon are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Cloghore, Ballyshannon (minor road of the N3 - Ballyshannon to Belleek Road) at approximately 10.20pm last night.
A woman in her early 70’s, the driver and sole occupant of the car, was fatally injured when her car collided with a ditch. She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body removed to Sligo General Hospital.
The road is currently closed for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
