Gardai in Carrickmacross are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N2 at Carrickmacross at approximately 11am this morning.
A male in his 60’s and a male in his late 50’s who were the drivers and sole occupants of the cars were fatally injured when their cars collided. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The road is currently closed for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
