Drug Seizure and arrest in Bandon, Co Cork on the 3/7/14

As part of on-going operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Bandon area, An Garda Síochána have seized cannabis herb.

Gardaí from the Cork City Divisional Drug Unit assisted by uniformed officers carried out a search of premises in the Templemartin area of Bandon at approximately 10am yesterday (3/7/14)
 

Cannabis herb with an estimated street value of up to €50,000 (subject to analysis) was discovered in the house.
 

A male in his 50’s was arrested at the scene and was detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Bandon Garda Station. He is expected to appear before Bandon District Court this morning (4/7/14) charged in connection with this incident.
