Cyclist killed in fatal collision in Limerick on the 9/7/14

A cyclist has been killed in a traffic collision in Limerick this morning 9th July 2014.

The collision involving an articulated truck and a cyclist happened at the junction of Rutland Street, Fr. Matthew Bridge and Charlotte's Quay at 7.30 am.

The woman, believed to be in her 30's, was pronounced dead at the scene.  Her body has been removed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital where a post mortem examination will take place.

The roadway in the area, which is close to The Hunt Museum, is closed and diversions are in place.
