Update Death of man Castleknock 12th January 2014

A post mortem examination is being carried out by Professor Marie Cassidy at the City Morgue on the body of a man in his 30s which was discovered at a house in Castleknock, Dublin 15 in the early hours of Sunday 12th January 2013.

A post mortem examination is being carried out by Professor Marie Cassidy at the City Morgue on the body of a man in his 30s which was discovered at a house in Castleknock, Dublin 15 in the early hours of Sunday 12th January 2013.  

A 34 year old man remains in custody, detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984,  at Blanchardstown Garda Station.

Gardaí were called to the house at Beech Park Avenue at about 1.50 am and the body of a man, believed to be in his 30s, was discovered.  The man was later pronounced dead at the scene.  

A Garda family liaison officer has been appointed and Gardaí will not be naming the deceased until all relatives have been informed of the death.
