Four arrested for serious assault in Dublin on the 19/1/14

Gardaí investigating a serious assault in the Dublin 8 area, in the early hours of last Sunday morning, have arrested four people in an operation in the city this morning.

The assault on a man in his 20s occurred at Lamb Alley, Dublin 8, in the early hours of Sunday morning 19th January 2014. The injured man was discovered with serious head injuries and was removed to St. James’ Hospital and subsequently transferred to Beaumont, where he remains in a serious condition.
 

This morning, Tuesday 21st January, Gardaí arrested two men and two women all in their 20s.  The two men are detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and the women are detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against The Persons Act, 1939.  The four are being held at Irishtown, Pearse Street, Kevin Street and Kilmainham Garda Stations.
