Gardaí at Newcastlewest are investigating a two car fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Reens Pike, Co Limerick
Two cars collided at the above location at approximately 6.50am today (27/1/14) resulting in the death of the male driver of one of the cars (only occupant in his 40's) the male driver (only occupant) of the other car was injured and taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital.
The road is currently closed for a Garda forensic collision investigation. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact the Gardaí at Newcastlewest on 069-20650, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
Investigations are continuing.
