As part of an ongoing operation targeting the cultivation of cannabis in Co. Clare Gardai have seized drugs and arrested a male following a planned search of a house in Mullagh, Co. Clare overnight.
Shortly after midnight Gardai from the Ennis Drug Unit assisted by local Gardai searched a house on Main Street, Mullagh. Cannabis plants at various stages of growth with an estimated street value of up to €144,000 (pending analysis) were discovered in what is described as a sophisticated grown house.
A male in his early 30’s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Ennis Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. He can be held for up to 7 days.
