Court Appearance - Cannabis seizure & arrests in Co. Clare on the 1314

The two males who had been detained at Shannon Garda Station in relation to the seizure of cannabis plants in Tulla on the 13/1/14 are scheduled to appear before Ennis District Court this morning at 10.30am charged in relation to the seizure.

Gardaí have seized cannabis plants and arrested two males as part of an operation targeting cannabis cultivation in Co. Clare.

At approximately 10pm last night (13/1/2014), Gardaí searched a house in Miltown, Tulla. Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €100,000 (pending analysis) were recovered along with other items made and adapted for the growth and cultivation of cannabis plants.


Two males, both aged in their early 20s were arrested at scene and are currently detained at Shannon Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. The scene is presently being preserved in order to facilitate a technical examination.
