Cash in Transit Robbery, Castleknock Shopping Centre, 17th January, 2014

Gardaí in Blanchardstown are appealing for information following a cash-in-transit robbery that occured this morning Friday 17th January, 2014 at Castleknock Shopping Centre.

At approximately 11:30 am, one male armed with a what is believed to be a firearm threatened and held up a security guard outside the shopping centre. He took the cash box and escaped in a black Ford Mondeo. The two males then abandoned the car and escaped on foot, with the firearm and the cash box, scaling a wall at the back of the shopping centre.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for information, and in particular any sightings of a black Ford Mondeo, with two males on board in the vicinity of Castleknock shopping centre shortly before 11:30am this morning.
