Gardaí at Kilrush are investigating all circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a male, 61 years, at Ballynacally, County Clare, this morning, 25th January 2014 at approximately 9.45am.
The scene is preserved and the Offices of The State Pathologist have been contacted.
The body was removed from the scene and brought to Limerick Regional Hospital where a post mortem is due to take place this afternoon.
