Update - Shooting incident in Lucan, Dublin on the 13/2/14

Gardai in Lucan investigating a shooting incident which occurred shortly before 10.30pm on the 13th Feb 2014 at Abbeywood Ct, Lucan in which a male 46yrs was seriously injured, can confirm that the male was later pronounced dead in Blanchardstown Hospital.

The office of the State Pathologist has been notified and a full Forensic Examination will take place today the 14th Feb 2014
 
Garda believe a car that may have been involved in the incident was found a short time later in Earlsforth Estate, Lucan on fire and has been sealed off and Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have may have seen the car or it being parked up to contact the Gardai in Lucan on 01 6667300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

Gardai in Lucan are investigating a shooting incident which occurred shortly before 10.30pm on the 13th Feb 2014 at Abbeywood Court, Lucan. A male (46yrs) was seriously injured and has been taken to Blanchardstown Hospital. The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.


Anyone who may have been in the Abbeywood Court area of Lucan tonight and may have seen any unusual or suspicious behaviour before the shooting or after the shooting and/or may have seen a car leave the scene are asked to contact the Gardai in Lucan on 01 6667300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
