The searches were carried out in Limerick and Tipperary.
As part of Operation Fiacla and an ongoing operation to combat Organised Crime in the Limerick area, Gardai from Henry St Garda Staion assisted by local Gardai and Gardai from Tipperary and Clare carried out planned searches on a number of premises earlier this morning the 4th February 2014.
Five people were arrested (four males ranging in ages from 19 to 27 years and one female aged 17 years) during the operation and they are being detained under the provisions of Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007 as amended at Nenagh, Roxboro Road, Henry Street, Newcastle West and Shannon Garda Stations.
