Gardai in Clifden are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R344, Inagh Road, (road connecting Galway - Clifden Road (N59) and Kylemore) Co. Galway, at approximately 2am this morning.
A 19 year old male was fatally injured when the car he was a passenger in left the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to UCHG. The other 5 people in the car were taken to UCHG with injuries described as not life threatening.
The R344 is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and traffic is asked to use the N59 into Clifden.
