Gardaí are investigating a single vehicle fatal traffic collision which occurred on the N12 in Co. Monaghan.
At approximately 5 p.m. a 4x4 vehicle was discovered at the bottom of an embankment on the N12 at Tyholland. The sole occupant of the vehicle, a male aged in his 40's, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed and a post-mortem examination is due to be held at Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan, tomorrow (19/2/2014).
The road will remain closed overnight to facilitate a technical examination of the scene and diversions are in place.
