Drug Seizure in Longford on the 7/2/14

Gardaí have seized a quantity of cannabis herb and arrested a man in Co.Longford today 7th February 2014.

In a joint operation involving Gardaí and officers from Revenue's Customs Service a house was searched in Legan, close to Edgeworthstown, Co Longford shortly before 11am.  

During the course of the search 6k of cannabis herb was discovered with a street value of €120,000.  A 23 year old man was arrested at the scene and he is detained at Longford Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
