Fatal road traffic collision in Co. Meath on the 16/9/13

Gardai in Trim are investigating a Fatal Road Traffic Collision that occurred on Castle Street, Trim at approximately 12.50am this morning.

A male pedestrian in his 40’s was fatally injured when he was struck by a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to Our Ladys Hospital in Navan. A second male in his 20’s was also struck by the car and has been taken to Our Ladys Hospital Drogheda with injuries described as serious. The driver of the car was uninjured.  

This road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
