Arrests and recovery of vehicles in Balbriggan, Dublin on the 20/9/13

As a result of an ongoing Operation targeting Burglaries and serious crime in the Greater Dublin Area, Gardai from the DMR North Crime Task Force searched a yard at Courtlough, Balbriggan at approximately 7.10pm on Friday the 20.09.13.

During the course of the search 4 vehicles (BMW 316, Audi A5, Audi Q3 and a Nissan Qashqai) were found, all of which were stolen in the course Burglaries in the last week around the Greater Dublin area.       
 

In addition, a large quantities of car parts were located on the premises. The scene is currently being technically examined.  The Garda Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit (SMVIU) are assisting and attempting to trace the identity of various car parts found.   
 

Four prisoners ranging in ages from their late 20’s to early 30’s were arrested, three at the premises and a forth person was arrested a short time later nearby. All four prisoners are currently being detained at Ballymun, Coolock and Balbriggan Garda Stations pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
