Witness appeal - Armed robbery at Woodbine Post Office, Donnybrook, Dublin on the 16/1013

Gardaí at Donnybrook, Dublin , are investigating an armed robbery which occurred at Woodbine Post Office, Woodbine Park, Donnybrook, Dublin 4, on 16th October 2013 at approximately 9.15am.

A lone suspect, armed with what appeared to be a handgun, entered the premises, threatened staff and customers and stole a substantial amount of cash. The suspect left the scene on a silver coloured moped in the direction of the N11/U.C.D. No persons were injured.


The suspect is described as being; male, between 5'6" - 5'10" in height, slim build, wearing a full face motorcycle helmet, white in colour, black motorcycle waterproofs and gloves.


Investigating officers are appealing to anyone who may have observed this silver moped or the above described male in the Woodbine/N11/U.C.D. flyover area, prior to or after this incident yesterday morning, Wednesday 16th October 2013, or anyone who may have information pertaining to this incident to contact the Gardaí at Donnybrook 01-6669200, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
