Shooting incident Drogheda 3rd October 2013

Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a shooting incident in Drogheda, Co. Louth on Thursday 3rd October 2013.

At approx. 9.15 p.m. a number of shots were fired at a house in Knockbrack Close. There were two females and 5 children (ranging in age from 7mths – 6 years) in the house at the time of the incident.

The scene is preserved for a full forensic and technical examination.

A car investigating Gardai believe was involved in the incident was found on fire a short distance away in at Platin, Co. Meath. The car is described as a grey coloured Kia Ceed.

Gardai are appealing for information an in particular to anyone who was in and around Knockbrack Close or adjoining roads between 9 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. to yesterday evening to contact them.
