Seven males arrested for violent disorder, 10th October 2013

Following co-ordinated searches in the greater Dublin area, Gardaí from Pearse Street have arrested seven males this morning, 10th October 2013. The males aged between 14 & 35 years, have been arrested for violent disorder which occurred on Wednesday 18th September 2013 in the Dublin 2 area.

 

On the direction of Assistant Commissioner Twomey, DMR, a full investigation was launched into the circumstances surrounding events at Molesworth Street on the 18th September 2013. Under the operational command of Chief Superintendent O’Sullivan, DMR South Central, an incident room was established at Pearse Street Garda Station.

 

This morning, at 5am, a co-ordinated search operation was mounted throughout the Dublin Metropolitan Region. Garda Units involved included Divisional Crime Task Force, Divisional Drugs Unit, District Detective Unit, Street Crime Unit, Uniformed Members from Pearse Street Station and The Special Detective Unit. The arrests are a result of these intensive investigations.

 

 

The seven males, arrested at locations across the DMR, are currently detained at various Garda Stations in the DMR Region, under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal
