Renewed witness appeal - Fatal Road traffic collision at Bantry, Co. Cork on the 20/10/13

A man in his early 30’s seriously injured following a serious road traffic collision in Bantry, Co. Cork on 20/10/13 was pronounced dead at 12 midday today 22/10/13.

Investigating Gardaí are renewing their appeal for information in relation to this collision. Witnesses are asked to contact Bantry Garda Station on 027-20860, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.

Gardaí are investigating a serious injury road traffic collision which occurred in Bantry Co. Cork shortly after 4 am this morning (20/10/2013).

A male aged in his early 30's was seriously injured following a single car collision at Bridge Street. He was taken to Bantry General Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.


The road has reopened to traffic following a forensic examination of the scene.


Gardai are appealing for witnesses who were in the Bridge St. area of Bantry between 3.30 a.m. and 5 a.m. this morning to contact them.
